Ibanez Talman TMB100 Ivory – stylish entry-level bass with PJ-pickups and active EQ
The Ibanez TMB-100 Ivory is the ideal first bass guitar for anyone who wants to start immediately with an instrument that looks good and plays well. The Talman series has its roots in the classic guitar designs of the fifties and sixties, and the TMB-100 combines that timeless design with modern playability and a fresh ivory white finish. A bass that already impresses on the wall at home, and holds its own on stage.
Sound? The combination of a Dynamix P split-coil pickup in the neck and a Dynamix J single-coil in the bridge immediately gives you a versatile palette. Turn the balancer to the neck, and you get that warm, full P-bass tone that you recognize from dozens of classic recordings. Turn it to the bridge, and the bass cuts through the mix more brightly. The active 2-band EQ allows you to easily adjust bass and treble — perfect if you're still learning what your sound is.
The poplar body is light and comfortable, the maple neck with jatoba fretboard plays smoothly and fast. With 20 medium frets, a scale length of 864 mm (34") and a radius of 240 mm (9.44"), the TMB-100 is accessible for beginners but at the same time versatile enough to grow with. The Ibanez B10 bridge with 19 mm string spacing and sealed die-cast tuners ensure stable tuning, even after intensive use. Fretboard inlays are white pearloid dots.
