Sterling By Music Man StingRay RAY35HH Charcoal Frost 5-String

Sterling StingRay HH Charcoal Frost: five strings and a wide tonal palette

Five strings and two alnico humbuckers give this Sterling by Music Man StingRay HH Charcoal Frost the room for deep bass lines and diverse tonal colors. This five-string electric bass features a nyatoh body and a rosewood fretboard, finished in Charcoal Frost. The gray color gives the recognizable StingRay design an understated look. For bassists who want to combine more range with extensive tone control, this is an interesting model, both for the stage and for recordings.

The HH configuration provides a solid foundation for distinct bass parts, but also leaves room for rounder tones. With the five-way switch you can select different pickup combinations, and with the active three-band EQ you can tune the lows, mids, and highs to the music. The extra low string broadens your range and gives you more possibilities to play a part in different places on the neck. From a deep groove to a clearly articulated passage: you can shape the sound directly on the bass.

The rosewood fretboard has 22 frets and dot inlays for clear orientation while playing. The neck is equipped with a double-action truss rod, which allows the neck relief to be adjusted in both directions. Open-gear tuners complete the hardware. This right-handed bass is built in Indonesia and comes equipped with Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings, reference 2836. The two alnico humbuckers and active electronics form the core of its versatile sound capabilities.

This five-string StingRay HH suits bassists who want to fulfill different musical roles within a single instrument. You have extra low end at your fingertips, while the pickup selection and EQ help you give the bass line a suitable place in the band.
