The Custom 24 in River Blue: Where PRS Heritage and Contemporary Tone Meet
The PRS Custom 24 is the flagship model with which Paul Reed Smith established his name, and this River Blue finish shows why that model is still the benchmark after forty years. The combination of a mahogany body with a maple top gives this guitar a characteristic tone profile: warm and full in the low registers, bright and articulate in the high strings. River Blue as a finish is not a compromise: it's a color that comes alive in the light and looks slightly different from every angle.
The two PRS 85/15 humbuckers were designed by Paul Reed Smith himself and offer an exceptionally wide dynamic range. They respond accurately to your touch and sound just as convincing clean as with significant gain. The 5-way blade switch with split-coil in positions 2 and 4 gives you access to a wide palette of tones: from transparent clean tones to rich humbucker sounds, with no significant volume differences between positions.
The mahogany set neck with a Pattern Thin profile is comfortable for long sessions without sacrificing precision. The rosewood fretboard with 24 frets, a 10" radius, and the characteristic Bird Inlays offers a familiar playing surface with just enough flatness for fast runs and bends. The PRS Patented Tremolo is stable and responsive, and the Phase III Locking Tuners keep the tuning stable even with intensive use.
The PRS Custom 24 River Blue comes with a hardcase. A guitar that doesn't just convince you with specifications, but with every note you play on it.
