This Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster gives Shoreline Gold a raw blues voice
Shoreline Gold with a distressed Relic finish: this Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster has a look that won't easily go unnoticed. Behind that gold finish lies an instrument for players who want to combine classic Fender identity with a pronounced, vibrant character. The alder body and maple neck form the foundation, while the weight of 3.42 kg makes this Strat comfortably playable. This is a new guitar with a deliberately aged finish, not a second-hand instrument with accidental signs of wear.
The hand-wound Texas Special pickups give this Stratocaster a full, blues-oriented voice. Expect that recognizable clarity and articulation, with enough bite to convincingly get an amplifier working. The neck pickup lends itself to round, singing lines, while at the bridge you find more bite and emphasis in your attack. The in-between positions offer the characteristic, scooped Strat sound that gives rhythm parts air and definition. The RWRP middle pickup helps suppress hum in combination with the other pickups. From clean chords to a gritty solo: your attack remains defining for the character.
The '60 Style Oval C neck profile is combined with a maple fretboard, a 9.5-inch radius, and 21 jumbo 6100 frets. This gives the classic design a playability that also allows room for wide bends and expressive solo work. The scale length is 25.5 inches and the Clay Dot inlays keep the look understated. Vintage Style tuners and a Custom Shop Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo fit the familiar Strat concept. With the volume control, tone control, and five-way switch you easily control the pickups. A hardcase is included.
Are you looking for a Custom Shop Stratocaster that not only shines, but also bites back nicely? Then this Shoreline Gold deserves a place in your hands.
