The fully hollow thinline from Gibson's golden years with a P-90 that says it all
This 1963 Gibson ES-330T was built during a period widely regarded as the pinnacle of Gibson's golden years. Unlike the semi-hollow models from the same period, the ES-330 has no center block, resulting in an open, airy, and very direct sound. The guitar therefore feels almost acoustic in its response, with rich projection and natural dynamics that follow every nuance of your playing.
This particular model features a P-90 in the middle position, which produces a special and less commonly heard sound. The position provides a nice balance between warmth and definition, with a round low-end, pronounced mid-range, and clear but never harsh highs. With a little overdrive, it delivers precisely that raw, gritty edge for which early P-90s are so beloved. The body resonates strongly and continues to sound full and present even with a softer touch.
The neck has the typical early 1960s feel that many players appreciate. In combination with its light weight, this makes the guitar particularly comfortable to play. Visually, the guitar is in beautiful, honest vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with over sixty years of playing. Nothing that detracts from its appearance, quite the opposite.
A characterful ES-330T for both the collector and the player looking for an authentic vintage sound.
