The two 70s Tribute humbuckers convincingly approximate the sound of the original 70s pickups. Full midrange, solid attack, and enough dynamic range to go from clean crunch to fully overdriven. The full mahogany construction contributes to that typical Gibson warmth and sustain that makes the Explorer so recognizable in a mix.

The mahogany neck with Slim Taper profile and rosewood fretboard, Acrylic Dot inlays, and 22 frets on a 24.75" scale offers smooth playability across the entire fretboard. The Aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines ensure reliable intonation and tuning stability.
