Pre-war tone with modern precision: the Gold Label 814e in solid Indian Rosewood
The Taylor Gold Label 814e Rosewood Natural is Taylor's interpretation of the great acoustic guitars of the 1930s, built with contemporary materials and technology. The Super Auditorium body is slightly larger and deeper than the classic Grand Auditorium, providing extra resonance, richer bass response, and a fuller, warmer sound. The torrefied Sitka Spruce top offers an open, played-in character from the first moment, which normally takes years of playing to achieve.
Indian Rosewood is one of the most beloved tonewoods in acoustic guitar building, and for good reason. Its deep bass, sparkling highs, and complex spectrum of overtones give the 814e Rosewood a versatile musical depth: powerful enough for strumming, nuanced enough for fingerpicking. The fanned V-Class bracing ensures excellent intonation, wide sustain, and a balanced tone across the entire register, from the lowest bass to the highest fret.
The Action Control Neck allows for precise string height adjustment without extensive modifications, keeping the guitar comfortably playable for years. The LR Baggs Element VTC pickup delivers a warm, natural amplified sound that fully preserves its acoustic qualities. The guitar comes with a deluxe hardshell case.
The Taylor Gold Label 814e Rosewood Natural is for the guitarist who seeks the classic combination of rosewood and spruce, executed at the highest level Taylor offers.
