This Dingwall D-Roc Custom brings the Martini Porsche racing stripes to the stage
Racing history as inspiration, a five-string bass as the result. This Dingwall Custom Shop D-Roc Custom 5-string Martini Porsche Stripe NAMM 2024 combines a silver finish with the iconic color scheme of the Martini Porsche livery. The special NAMM 2024 model also features its own unique combination of materials: a mahogany body, a roasted ash neck, and a wenge fretboard. This makes it more than just a striking color variant within the D-Roc family. It is a Custom Shop edition for the enthusiast who also wants to discover the details behind the design.
You control the three pickups with a Quad-Tone pickup selector, a volume control, and a tone control. This straightforward layout gives you various starting points for placing your bass part in the mix, without having to constantly turn a large control panel. A heavy riff requires something different from a supportive groove, and you can vary your sound precisely by choosing the pickup and attack. The multiscale fretboard runs from 34 to 37 inches, with the longest string length for the low B. The angled frets follow these different scale lengths and give the neck its characteristic Dingwall geometry.
The roasted ash neck features the D-Roc profile and a wenge fretboard with a 9.45-inch radius. The 24 medium-jumbo frets and red oval Custom inlays further distinguish this edition from the Standard models. Hipshot tuners and a Dingwall Minimalist one-piece bridge complete the hardware. This model weighs 3.89 kg and comes with a soft case. The silver Martini Porsche Stripe finish makes the NAMM character visible, while the build specifications provide plenty of reason to get to know it primarily as an instrument.
Let the racing stripes start the conversation and your own basslines tell the rest of the story. This D-Roc Custom deserves an extended test drive.
