The 1962 ES-335 Reissue in Sixties Cherry — a model year Gibson Custom themselves don't reissue
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1962 ES-335 Reissue Sixties Cherry is a special piece of guitar history. In collaboration with Gibson Custom, Epiphone brings back a model year beloved for its rounded cutaways, small block inlays, and slim SlimTaper C-neck — characteristics that distinguish the 1962 ES-335 from later and earlier versions. The five-ply maple/poplar semi-hollow body with solid maple center block provides the typical ES-335 balance between solidbody stability and hollowbody resonance. The rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and mother of pearl small block inlays is historically accurate down to the side dots.
Two USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers, hand-wired with CTS potentiometers and Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors, deliver the full, dynamic ES-335 tone that belongs in any genre. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with a historic aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece and Epiphone Deluxe Double Ring tuners complete this instrument. Supplied with a vintage-style black hardshell case with Goldenrod interior. Come by our store or call us for more information about the Epiphone 1962 ES-335 Reissue Sixties Cherry.
