The Gibson Custom Shop 1959 ES-335 Reissue Vintage Natural VOS is the most transparent iteration in the ES-335 reissue series: the Vintage Natural finish fully showcases the wood grain of the 3-ply maple body, and the VOS nitrocellulose lacquer gives the guitar a subtle vintage patina that accentuates the warmth of the wood. The '59 ES-335 distinguishes itself from the '64 by its dot inlays and the slightly fuller Medium C-Shape neck profile, historically accurate for its year of production.

The two Custombucker Alnico 3 humbuckers, unpotted and tuned to 1959 PAF specifications, deliver a dynamic sound with rich midrange and a transparency rarely found in modern guitars. The 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body with center block gives the guitar that characteristic blend of resonance and sustain of the late fifties ES-335. The Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape neck profile fits comfortably in the hand.
