Purple nitro: the color that combines vintage and quirky in one go
The Patina PJ-6 PP is the most pronounced color in the PJ-6 line. Purple with a deliberately aged nitrocellulose finish: the cracks and wear are there from day one, but it's the color itself that sets this guitar apart. Not for everyone, but for the guitarist who knows exactly what they want to express.
Two custom-wound Alnico V P90 pickups deliver the sound that made this guitar style great: a full midrange, clear jangle, and an overdrive grunt that responds directly to your touch. The offset tremolo remains responsive and reliably returns to pitch, while the locking tuners (1:19) provide stability even with intensive tremolo use. Stainless steel jumbo frets with rounded edges play smoothly and last a lifetime.
The neck is crafted from quarter-sawn roasted maple with a Modern C-profile and a rosewood fretboard with luminous side dots. The 13.75" radius invites both chord playing and lead. The paulownia body keeps the weight low without sacrificing resonance. Scale length 25.5", 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, bone nut, dual-action truss rod, 1 volume and 2 tone controls.
The PJ-6 PP is for the guitarist who combines vintage character with a color that no one can overlook.
