Suhr Andy Wood HH Whiskey Barrel with Swamp Ash body, Roasted Maple neck and Woodbuckers
The Suhr Andy Wood HH Whiskey Barrel is Andy Wood's signature guitar in its most iconic version. The Whiskey Barrel finish is unique: the wood is treated with a blowtorch, making the grain of the Swamp Ash body visible and palpable. This makes each guitar different, and the Torched Satin finish gives the instrument a tough, handcrafted look that you won't find on any other guitar in this segment. At just 3.24 kg, it is also one of the lightest guitars in the Suhr line.
The Roasted Maple neck with Roasted Maple fretboard and Modern Elliptical profile (.780-.830) plays fast and precisely, with 24 Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, black dot inlays and a flat 16" radius. Two Woodbucker humbuckers via a 5-way switch with volume and tone. The bridge is available as a Recessed 2-Post Tremolo with steel block or as a Wilkinson 3-saddle. Suhr locking tuners, 25.5 scale, includes hardcase.
The Woodbucker is a pickup that Andy Wood developed together with Suhr for maximum dynamics and character. In combination with the Swamp Ash body and the 16" flat radius, the Andy Wood HH Whiskey Barrel has a playing feel and tone that you will find in few other guitars in this segment. The 5-way switch provides access to in-between positions that you would not expect from a standard HH guitar.
