Iron Red in Torched Satin on Swamp Ash with Woodbuckers and 16" radius that captures Andy Wood's tone
The Suhr Andy Wood HH Iron Red is the signature guitar of Andy Wood, one of the most versatile and technically proficient guitarists in today's country and rock scene. The Iron Red finish in Torched Satin has a tough, matte look that immediately stands out, and the Swamp Ash body gives the guitar a light, open resonance with a distinct high end that allows the Woodbucker pickups to fully express their character. Weighing 3.8 kg, this is a guitar that is present without being too heavy.
The Roasted Maple neck with Roasted Maple fretboard and Modern Elliptical profile (.780"-.830") plays fast and precisely, with 24 Jumbo Stainless Steel frets, black dot inlays, and a flat 16" radius. Two Woodbucker humbuckers via a 5-way switch with volume and tone provide access to a wide tonal palette, from full neck tones to powerful bridge positions and surprising in-between sounds. The bridge is available as a Recessed 2-Post Tremolo with steel block or as a Wilkinson 3-saddle, depending on the configuration. Suhr locking tuners, 25.5" scale, includes hardshell case.
The Woodbucker is a pickup that Andy Wood developed with Suhr for maximum dynamics and character. It sounds full and warm in the neck position, powerful and defined at the bridge, and responds sensitively to the touch. In combination with the Swamp Ash body and the 16" flat radius, the Andy Wood HH Iron Red has a playability and tone that you will find in few other guitars in this segment.
